From the 1st time I heard Lianne La Havas sing she captured my mind and heart with her thought provoking lyrics and soulful sounds and apparently she has the attention of many other music lovers as well.
Lianne is a singer, a songwriter and muti insrtumentalist.
She along with DJ Solange Knowles were honored by Essence magazines Women in Music event in Los Angeles yesterday.
The party goers were treated to a performance by the honorees as well as other entertainment.

On the heels of that outstanding halftime performance on Sunday which was also the biggest gig to date Beyonce has performed since becoming a mother. We hear her world tour will begin in Europe April 14th-May 29th. Beyonce will hit the states in June. That girl is fire!! I promise I will be there when she comes to my city!
